We are back posting! I decided to jump on the blog bandwagon once again! I realized how hard it was to keep up with when I went back to work. It was much easier when I was on maternity leave. I will try to update once a week at least...try being the key word! :o) This first post is a biggie... just a bunch of random things. It will get everyone caught up since the last post mid-December.
Alex is so much fun right now. He will be 7 months old on Sunday! He is just on the verge of crawling. He tries really hard, but doesn't quite have it down yet. He is also teething pretty good right now. No teeth yet, but hopefully soon! He is working on eating solid foods now, but really doesn't like baby food or cereal at all. It is a slow process. I'm thinking he might just be one of those babies that goes directly for the table food. He loves his Gerber Puffs, Gerber yogurt melts and Baby Mum-Mums. Animal crackers are also a favorite. He does not like fruits or vegetables! Not even pairs! Silly kid. Anyway, he loves it outside and we plan on going for lots of walks so bring on Summer!!!

Alex's first Easter! Oh, boy... the Easter bunny made an appearance at the Trierweiler house!

Alex very tired out after Easter lunch At Grandma and Grandpa Trierweiler's house. He loves his new Easter bunny monkey from Grandma and Grandpa!

Alex is very much so in "mommy" phase. He needs to be next to mommy at all times. We have resorted ot using the Baby Bjorn aournd the house at times.

A rare Alex and mommy picture! I need to be in more pictures instead of taking them all the time!

He chews on EVERYTHING right now! Please come in soon teeth!

Just rolling around playing!

I'm tired of practicing crawling! I need a break!

I can almost do it!

I came around the corner of the living room to find him like this. After I took these pictures he decided to completely stand all the way up while holding onto this toy! I was shocked that he could do that at 6 mos old!

Just sitting like a big shot!

" I was playing so hard in my Rainforest Jumperoo that I fell asleep!"

Dad and Alex getting the booster ready!

So Alex's favorite teething item is his nook! He can flip it all around to chew on it how ever he likes. This particular time he was chewing on it and got hsi thumb stuck in it. It didn't phase him one bit. He would chew on it, then play toys with it on his thumb, then stick it back in his mouth when he wanted to chew on it again. It was so funny.

Because of breastfeeding this is only the 2nd bottle Marty has ever given Alex.

Here begin a series of 1st solid food feedings. The first food he got was Avocado, then rice cereal. He doesn't really like either...he still doesn't. We started solids at 6 mos old per our doctors recommendation.

Alex fell asleep in his carseat hanging onto the side. Goofy little guy!

"Oh my gosh, Franky! Please don't jump over and get me!"

Just discovering his new toy from Grandma and Grandpa Funk.

Our self pic...not to bad.

"See mom! I can even hold it with my feet!"

Alex is discovering that he likes books!

This is what happens when you are just learning to sit and you fall over onto all your toys!

A little blurry but so cute...

Since Alex was born in Sept he was never really outside much. When he was, he was bundled up in his carseat. This was really the first time he was outside where he could look around and see everything. He loved it and still loves to be outside!

I don't think Marty knew he was going to be in the picture also! haha...

Just so happy!

Chewing on his new toy from Aunt Laura and Uncle Doug.

It always amazes me how he can puke and still be so happy!

Ooh...I love this Rainforest!

Go Twins! Hopefully by this summer his hat will actually fit!

Alex loved when I bought him the Bumbo chair. He was at a stage where he hated to lay on the floor anymore. He wanted so badly to sit up and look around and play toys, but he just couldn't do it by himself yet. This chair worked great!

The underside of the Bumbo chair... I just thought it was so cute--his little feet sticking out.

Yeah, the new Bumbo chair!

The day of Alex's 4 month shots. I hate those doctor appointments more than he does I think!

Just a tired day. He fell asleep in such a cute position... like a big kid.

Just sitting on the couch with daddy looking cute!

Alex has spent many, many hours in this postion. This is from mommy's view. Alex always, always covers his face while he is nursing. He has almost from day one.

Just an adorable carseat picture :o) He loves his monkey blanket from Grandma Funk!

This is Alex on his first day of daycare! Buckled in and ready to go meet all his new daycare friends! The kids were so excited to meet him!!!

Mommy getting Alex ready for his first day at daycare.

Jan 3rd--Alex's first of many trips in his lifetime to the family cabin in Blackduck. Dad being silly and taking this picture. This pillow has been at the cabin for years!

Family picture at the cabin. We went up on Jan 2nd to surprise Aunt Sheena's boyfriend, Jake, on his 21st birthday!

"Look everyone! I can get all 5 of my toes in my mouth now!"

Alex always tries to hug his cousin Julina when she gets close enough!

Alex adores his cousin Macki. He just gets the hugest smile when ever she is around!

Alex snuggling with Great-grandma Blommel during a visit to her house.

"Let me have the camera for once, mom!" Alex in his crazy fuzzy Jordan hat.

"I love sitting by my doggies."

Handing out treats and Valentines at the daycare party!

Cousin Whitney and Alex at the daycare party!

Alex's first Valentine's day party! All the daycare kids come at one time to have a big party and and out treats and Valentine's. It's a good thing not all of these kids are at daycare every day...I think Kris would go crazy! We refer to these kiddos as "Alex's daycare friends!"

Alex with Grandma Funk on Valentine's day!

Alex and mommy on Valentines's day.

Look everyone! I've grown! I've moved from the shoebox to a pillow! Pretty soon I will be able to reach the floor!

Alex in Grandma Trierweiler's laundry basket. So cute!

Alex snuggling with daddy.

Alex's first Christmas with the extended Trierweiler family. First thing after we arrived he had a blow out and needed an outfit change. Immediately after that he fell asleep. It was a relaxing day for little Al.

Cousin Vinny (Gavin) and Alex on Christmas day at Grandma and Grandpa Trierweiler's house.

Christmas Eve with Godmother Sheena and Jake with Alex's awesome camo/blaze orange blanket Sheena made.

Cousin Julian and cousin Mackinzie on Christmas Eve. It was impossible to get all three of them to look at the camera! Phew...

Alex's first Christmas! This was Christmas eve at my parents house.

Christmas eve day...every baby needs to have the ol' laundry basket picture, right?

This was the first time Alex tired out his Rainforest Jumperoo! He loved it!

As you can see, he was still a tad short for the Rainforest. We found a way to make it work though!
